When going through my grandparents photos to scan them all for this site, I came across this Salada tea tag. It struck me as a message directly from them. While I feel that it is important to curate all of this information and save all of these photos and stories for future generations, its equally important to realize that these memories are so genuine, and entertaining because everyone in them is following this advice. I’m sure this wasn’t always easy to do. There were depressions and world wars and hundreds of other hardships throughout the time that our family lived, traveled to America, and carved out their part of history. But through it all, they lived their lives in their time, and were thankful for what they had. That is evident in the stories and can absolutely be seen in the photos. So sit back with your own cup of tea, and enjoy the memories that can be found within this site. But not at the expense of heading out and writing your own stories for future generations! – Michael James McLaughlin
